Spanish

In every grade, culture is an important component of the Spanish curriculum. The students learn about the Spanish speaking countries and the most important Latin American traditions.

 

Early Childhood

Early childhood is the perfect time to learn a new language. Kids at this age absorb everything they hear, so we use songs and music to engage students in language learning, storybooks to introduce basic vocabulary and repetitive phrases. Games for an interactive experience that make language learning fun and enjoyable. 
 

Lower School  

Lower school students continue to reinforce their vocabulary, speaking and writing through songs, games, videos and worksheets. They start with letter sounds and syllable organization, and learn grammar and verbs in Spanish.

 

Middle School

In Middle School, students use the linguistics of situations, and have the opportunity to practice Spanish in a meaningful context. The conversational activities allow students to communicate using a variety of structures, vocabulary and expressions from everyday language. At the same time they learn Spanish grammar.

 

Upper School

The Upper School classes are designed to develop communication skills in Spanish, correct pronunciation, and writing. There is a strong emphasis on providing context and conversational examples of the language concepts presented in each lesson.
