Admission FAQs

With the exception of Cougar Prep, which welcomes a new class of up to 12 students every year, available space in each grade level depends on how many students enroll and re-enroll each year. Class sizes are capped at 16 students and two sections in each grade. Please contact the Admission Office to inquire about openings in a specific grade level.

Students applying to Clariden must have reached the age for that grade level by September 1st of the academic year. Students applying for the first year of Cougar Prep must have turned three by June 1st preceding the academic year and must be fully bathroom-independent before matriculation.

The Clariden School values families in our community and encourages sibling applications. While all applicants must be deemed mission appropriate to earn admission, early notification is offered to siblings, and admitted siblings are given priority over new applicants when spaces are limited. Clariden also offers a 5% tuition discount for siblings.

Vaccines are very important for a healthy school setting and to give all students the best chance to learn and grow. They protect students from getting and spreading diseases that can make them very sick. For this reason, we require all students who are entering or attending TCS to be vaccinated against certain vaccine-preventable diseases as required by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Prior to attendance, each student must show documentation of the required vaccinations. TCS will deny enrollment to any student or prospective student who is considered excluded from compliance for any reason other than a medical exemption.

The Clariden School does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, nationality, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, political and social values, culture, religion, physical ability, family structure, or learning style in its administration of admission, financial aid, availability of program, and hiring practices.
